Job Description:
Our client, a global leader in packaged good solutions, has an
immediate need for an experienced Quality Control Technician, to
join our winning team in York.

Our candidate of choice will ensure quality and operational
compliance to the customer and CP specifications and have
responsibility for the quality, food safety and esthetics of the
product.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for monitoring and identifying critical control points
(CCP) within the processes.
Responsible for monitoring processes and product food safety and
quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsible for the correct documentation and filing of all
relevant record logs and Documentation.
Ensures the correct recipe guidelines for products are met during
processing.
Ensures employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety
practices.
Ensures and educates employees on quality expectations.
Collect product samples for the Quality lab.
Perform inspections on in-process printing to ensure quality and
accuracy of the print according to customer specifications
Identifying non-conformances and ensuring they are corrected "real
time" when feasible.
Working directly with Operations on the presses, slitter,
lamination, etc. to identify areas for continuous improvement.
Ensuring paperwork is accurate and filled out in a timely manner on
the production lines.
The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the
nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily

Complies with all general Company-wide standard operating
procedures (SOP's) and any job or department specific SOP's.
SOP's may cover the areas of (but are not limited to)
Employee Health and Safety
SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing
procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging
manufactured.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma required.
At least 1-2 years' experience in printing, food or regulated
industry with knowledge of GMP's.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office package software is essential.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail is essential.
